A student who is absent from school will not be eligible for school activities during or after school on that particular day. The only exception to this rule will be when such absence is with PRIOR CONSENT of the school principal/designee for reason of special appointments beyond the control of the student. Any student absent from school on a day immediately preceding a weekend or holiday must present an excuse from a parent or physician clearing him/her to participate on non-school days. Students must be present for at least half the school day (50% of his/her classes) to be eligible to participate that day. Students may appeal this provision to the administration based upon evidence of appropriate legal, medical, religious or emergency situations.
